My approach to therapy is compassionate and trauma informed.
Therapy is a space to explore the various parts of yourself in a way that is shame free. My goal is to help you explore and move through your struggles and to celebrate your joy. All of your parts are welcome here.
I’m a New York based, licensed therapist who supports others in moving through and healing from trauma. I help others break free from patterns that no longer serve them, to live more authentic, fulfilling lives.
My hope is that in working together, you will find you are able to feel more sure in yourself. I specialize in trauma, family of origin challenges, codependency and grief.
I especially love helping people break free from the doubt and shame that are holding them back. I help people begin to trust themselves, and to heal from the hurts of the past.
I believe that while we have the capacity for individual choice, we also interact in systems- families, communities, societal constructs- that will impact our experiences.
I believe that many of the choices that we make come from a place of trying to survive in the best way we know how, and that sometimes the things that helped us in the past no longer serve us. Looking at this space of tension is where there is opportunity for healing and growth.
I view therapy through a client-centered, anti-oppressive, trauma informed lens. As a white, non-disabled, cisgender woman, I recognize that anti-oppression is part of my ongoing active work of learning and deconstructing, both inside of and outside of the therapy space.
Let’s connect.
